So due to recent requests for updates on my LJ here it goes, but I warn you its not gonna be all that entertaining.

Stayed up all night writing a paper on Southern women in the civil war - what got me through it? Sugar Free Red Bull, cigarettes and a new Elton John song from the movie Elizabethtown (Yes Alejandra I have found a new favorite Elton John song and I will make you listen to it repeatedly)

Got to spend some time with Kristi today, super fun and so nice just to get to see you - I still think I looked silly in the shirt though.

Went to see Just Friends with Will. It was funny, better than Wedding Crashers, close but not as funny to the 40 yr old Virgin (seriously everyone should see that movie - especially you Melly bc it has that guy from Bruce Almighty - its so freakin funny)

Hung out with Melly and got soaked in the rain - I think I ruined my Uggs.

I am soooo excited for Thanksgiving, but also a little sad, its kinda scary not going home, especially as I watch everyone around me leave, its just weird not going back. I am so glad that I get to spend it with all of you, but its just I dont know...its like my first real foray (spelling?) into adulthood...the first time Im spending a holiday away from home, but Im sure that it wont be my last (I think thats the part that scares me).

So excited for New York - unless it rains, then not so excited.

I am praying for snow though, seriously.

I need to quit smoking befor I go home for Xmas - my dad asked me if I still was and I told him no, but it was a big step for him to ask me directly, and he quit smoking cigars, so I really want to be able to look them in the eye when I go home and not feel bad about having to lie and sneak around.

School = blah but there are only 2 weeks left after break...here's hoping for a miracle. Ive come to realize that I have a very strong faith in the absurb (Kierkegaard) and I think thats why Im always so willing to believe that everything will work out ok, and also why I think it usually does.

Will anyone go see Rent with me on Wednesday? I really want to see it.
